Como to Varenna ferry: times, route and tickets

Use the terminal shown in the planner’s trip brief and open its directions link. Como has several transport touchpoints, so the right pier is more useful than searching only for the town name.

Some public-line sailings call at intermediate piers. Select a specific departure in the planner to see its published arrival time and every intermediate call instead of planning around a single generic duration.

Varenna is the rail-side gateway for the central lake, but the pier and Varenna-Esino station are separate. Choose a ferry that gives you a comfortable walking and station buffer before relying on a train connection.

Use one way if you are continuing from Varenna, staying overnight or have not settled the rest of the route. Add a return only after you have chosen the time you want to leave Varenna; the planner checks the published reverse departures in that window.

Only use a sailing marked as a vehicle ferry. A direct passenger service does not automatically carry a car, motorbike or bicycle; capacity, conditions and the final fare must be confirmed with the operator.
