Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 Feb 2026

Welcome to Teravia. By accessing or using our website and app, including public trips, guides, publishing tools, and paid features, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Teravia.

1) Who we are & what we offer

Teravia is a curated travel publishing studio.

We provide infrastructure for:

  • Trips — structured day-by-day itineraries.
  • Guides — extended editorial works built on Trips.
  • Curators — approved publishers authorized to create Guides and, where enabled, offer Paid Items.
  • Inspiration tools — AI-assisted drafting features.
  • Publishing infrastructure — mapping, formatting, poster generation, and related tools.

2) Roles on Teravia

Users

Individuals who browse, save, create Trips, or purchase Paid Items.

Curators

Approved publishers authorized to create Guides and activate paid listings. Curator status is granted at Teravia’s discretion and may be suspended or revoked.

Additional commercial terms apply to Curators offering paid content (see Section 10).

3) Eligibility & basic rules

  • You must be at least 16 (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher).
  • Do not misuse the service (no scraping, reverse-engineering, illegal activity, spam, or abuse).
  • Respect intellectual property, privacy, and applicable laws.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4) Accounts & access

You may browse public content without an account.

Certain features require authentication. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.

We may rate-limit, restrict, or revoke access where necessary to protect platform integrity.

5) Editorial standards & publishing control

Teravia operates with editorial standards.

Guides published by Curators are subject to review before publication.

We may approve, request edits, delay, decline, suspend, or remove content to maintain quality, legal compliance, and brand standards.

We may remove content that, while lawful, does not align with Teravia’s publishing standards or positioning.

6) Public content & sharing

Trips and Guides may be shareable by link and appear in Teravia discovery surfaces.

If you include sensitive information in public content, you do so at your own risk.

Deleting content removes it from public view, though limited technical backups may persist temporarily.

7) AI-generated content

Some features use third-party AI providers.

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. They are provided for informational and creative purposes only.

You are responsible for verifying travel details independently, including safety, visas, transportation, weather, opening hours, and pricing.

We configure third-party services to minimise personal data where possible, but their terms apply.

8) Your content

Ownership

You retain ownership of content you submit.

License to Teravia

You grant Teravia a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, transform, and distribute your content as necessary to operate and improve the service.

This license ends when you delete the content, except for reasonable backups, legal compliance, or non-identifiable aggregates.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to share your content.

9) Subscriptions

Teravia may offer paid subscriptions (e.g., Plus).

Subscriptions may auto-renew unless canceled.

Access continues until the end of the billing period after cancellation.

Pricing and features may change over time. Except where required by law, refunds are not provided for partial periods.

10) Paid Guides & Curator sales

Approved Curators may offer paid trips or guides (“Paid Items”).

Additional commercial terms, including revenue share, payout timing, thresholds, refund handling, and related matters, are governed by a separate Revenue & Payout Policy and/or Curator Agreement, which must be accepted before activating paid listings.

During the pilot phase, Teravia acts as the Merchant of Record and processes payments via Stripe.

Teravia facilitates transactions between Customers and Curators but does not assume responsibility for the underlying content created by Curators.

Curators are responsible for:

  • The accuracy and legality of their content
  • Compliance with applicable laws
  • Their own tax reporting obligations

Customers receive a personal, non-transferable license to access purchased Paid Items.

Curators may not use Teravia to redirect purchasers to external payment systems for substantially similar products offered on the platform.

11) Refunds & disputes

Refund handling and payout adjustments for Paid Items are governed by the separate Revenue & Payout Policy applicable to Curators.

Teravia may suspend access to Paid Items during disputes, fraud investigations, or chargebacks.

12) Third-party services

Teravia integrates with third-party services (including payment processors, AI providers, hosting infrastructure, and image providers).

We are not responsible for third-party outages, errors, or policy changes.

13) Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Travel involves inherent risks. You are solely responsible for your decisions and safety.

Teravia does not provide professional travel, legal, medical, safety, or financial advice.

14) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teravia and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

Aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of:

  • amounts you paid Teravia in the 3 months prior to the claim, or
  • USD $50.

15) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations, legal risk, abuse, or operational reasons.

You may stop using Teravia at any time.

16) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms.

Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

17) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Denmark, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
