How to get there
The best way to get to La Maddalena is from ferry departing from Palau.
To get to Palau, several option are possible. Some driving is required, wether that is with a rental option or by bringing your own car through the ferry routes. If you are arriving by flight, the closest airport is Olbia, although, you could also be arriving from other main airports on the island like Alghero or even from Cagliari. Arriving to Sardinia is also possible by ferry, there are several routes possible. For example, it is possible to sail to Olbia from Genova, Livorno, Civitavecchia or Arbatax. Porto Torres is another common hub for arrival by ferry, departing from Barcelona, Marsiglia, Ajaccio, Propriano, Genova.
