FAQ

Lake Como ferry questions

Which Lake Como ferry routes can I search here?

The planner only offers direct origin-and-destination pairs supported by the currently reviewed official timetable. If a town is not selectable, Teravia does not yet have a reviewed direct service for that combination.

Does the map show intermediate ferry stops?

Yes. When the published service includes call points, selecting a departure draws the route and shows the intermediate stops used by that sailing. The arrival time is shown when it is printed in the source timetable.

What do passenger, vehicle and fast-service icons mean?

Passenger-only services are not intended for cars. Vehicle-ferry services support vehicle transport where the operator allows it, while fast services are shown separately because they follow a different service pattern. Use Vehicle ferry only when that distinction matters to your journey.

Do I need to buy a ferry ticket in advance?

Teravia helps you choose a practical sailing, but the operator controls fares, availability, boarding rules and ticket sales. Use the official tickets and fares link for the final purchase and check operator notices before leaving.

Can I plan a return crossing?

Yes. Select an outward sailing first, then add the time you want to leave the destination and the latest time you want to be back. The planner will show compatible return services when the reviewed timetable contains them.

Why might the timetable differ from what I see at the pier?

Ferry schedules are seasonal and can change because of weather, operational decisions or temporary notices. Treat the published planner as a planning aid and confirm the operator’s live notices on the day.
